Privacy and email enquiries.
Updated 5 November 2026 · Version 2026-11-05-mail-pilot.1
Who operates this website?
Knotweed Clarity is operated by Victor as an individual project. It is not a surveyor, treatment contractor or verified provider network. Contact the operator about the website or your information at apefit.zhang@gmail.com.
The operator reviews and handles enquiries in Thailand. The location of UK customers does not mean all processing takes place in the UK.
What happens when I prepare an enquiry?
The form prepares a draft using your chosen service, postcode district, property context and document-status choices. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, full address, photographs or reports. Nothing is uploaded, saved in a website database or sent by the page.
If enquiries are open and you choose to send the draft from your own email app, the operator receives your sender address, email metadata, message and anything you choose to include. Do not attach photographs, contracts, identity documents or full property addresses at this stage.
How is an email used?
The operator uses an enquiry to understand and respond to your request. The intended basis is the legitimate interest in responding to a contact you initiate; it is not permission for unrelated marketing. There is no automatic provider forwarding, sale of contact details, professional booking, credit decision or automated assessment of a plant or property.
A later introduction to a provider would need a separate explanation and your choice. No such sharing is enabled in this pilot.
Who handles the email and website connection?
Your email service sends the message to the operator’s Gmail mailbox, which is provided by Google. Each email provider also processes information under its own terms and Google’s privacy policy describes Google’s processing. Email and provider infrastructure may involve processing outside the UK.
The website is hosted in the Philippines (Manila, Alibaba Cloud ap-southeast-6). It receives the technical connection information necessary to serve a page. Website access logging is disabled; hosting, network and error systems may still process necessary technical records. Form contents are not placed in page URLs or sent to the web server.
How long are enquiries kept?
The operator’s pilot policy is to delete closed or unanswered enquiry conversations within 30 days of the last contact, unless you ask to continue the conversation or a specific legal requirement applies. Deletion is managed in the mailbox, including its trash folder. The email provider may retain service or backup records under its own arrangements. Anonymous totals may be kept separately to evaluate demand.
What can I ask about my information?
Email apefit.zhang@gmail.com with “Privacy request — Knotweed Clarity” in the subject to ask about access, correction, deletion or stopping further contact. Please provide enough information to locate the conversation, without sending identity documents in the first request. Applicable rights depend on the circumstances. You may also contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office about data protection concerns.
Cookies, analytics and search visibility
This pilot uses no advertising cookies, tracking pixels, browser identifiers or application analytics. Form choices remain in the current page and are discarded when it is closed or reloaded. Search engines may provide their own aggregate search reports after site ownership is verified; those reports are not proof that an email was received.
